What Your Dues Get You

Your CSEA dues money protects your paycheck, your job, and your family's medical benefits. Nothing is more fundamental than having stable employment. In fact, joining the union is one of the best investments you can make to protect your future income and job security.Classified employees have one of the best-managed, well-funded pension systems in the nation.

  • Thanks to a bill CSEA pushed through in 1999, the average classified pension went up by $100,000!
  • CSEA has two voting members on the CalPERS Board
With CSEA, we know our retirement funds will be there when we need them. The "Fair Share" service fee dues are being used to increase and improve services to local chapters.
