CalPERS Beneficiary & Power of Attorney

announcement.png

At a time we are focused on staying safe and keeping our families protected, thinking about retirement is probably not high on our list of things to do.  In reality, however, the choices we make for retirement are another way we protect our families.

CSEA is here for you both on and off the job, as well as with regard to your CalPERS pension as we continue to advocate for your on the job rights, as well as your pension rights.  Right now, as we hear about the thousands of people in California who are infected with coronavirus, and the thousands more we don’t even know about, you should be thinking about making sure you have filed your CalPERS Power of Attorney and Beneficiary forms with CalPERS to protect your pension benefits.  Knowing the facts and getting these simple forms completed can create peace of mind for you and your family.

Join CSEA tomorrow, 9 April 2020 from 3 to 4pm for a Zoom seminar explaining these two key forms that every CalPERS member should complete.  Learn what purpose they serve, how they protect your pension, and how to complete them step by step.  Get an update on the state of the CalPERS pension.  The special presenter for this Zoom-inar will be Rob Feckner, past President of CSEA and long-standing member and past President of the CalPERS Board of Directors.  Also presenting is Debb Jachens, the CSEA Member Benefits Coordinator.

Date: Thursday, April 9
Time: 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.
