Earlier today the District presented your CSEA Chapter 262 negotiations team a proposal for a telecommuting agreement. Just a few moments ago, CSEA sent the District a counterproposal addressing some of the issue and concerns we have for our members. We are now awaiting a response from the District.
Negotiations via e-mail, or tele-negotiations as we are calling it, are challenging, and slower, but your Chapter leadership wanted to update you on our progress so far and where we are.
You may receive, or have received, e-mails discussing a “plan” or an agreement, or informing you that managers will decide the conditions for telecommuting. Please note that these terms are fully negotiable and your Chapter leadership and negotiating team have not yet agreed to anything, but when we have an agreement with the District, we will inform you as quickly as possible.
