Side Letter / MOU Ratification

With the campus closed and both faculty and classified professionals scrambling to convert classes to an online format, get the Summer intersession going, and everyone adjusting to a telecommuting model of operations, some of our Chapter 262 negotiations issues have fallen behind.  Now we need to get back on track.

Your Chapter 262 negotiations team will hold a ratification vote for several side letters and memorandums of understanding.  A copy of each MOU or side letter is located on the Chapter 262 web site for you to review by following this link.  A direct link to each side letter and MOU is listed below.

  1. January 16, 2020 – Jennifer May Anol Y-Rate Benefits (side letter)

  2. May 13, 2020 – Family Illness Sick Leave Use (MOU)

  3. May 13, 2020 – Baby Bonding Leave (MOU)

  4. May 18, 2020 – Financial Aid Reporting Structure (side letter)

  5. June 15, 2020 – Floating Holiday Rollover (side letter)

  6. August 6, 2020 – One-Time Fund (side letter)

Some of these side letters or MOUs are retroactive because CSEA has determined they require ratification by the chapter membership.  Other MOUs and side letters (#2, #3, #5, and #6) need to be ratified to implement them right away.

Members will have an opportunity to ask questions about the MOUs and side letters at the next Chapter meeting on Wednesday, August 19, 2020.  The ratification vote will begin the next day and will be conducted using SurveyMonkey.  If you do not receive the ratification vote invitation, please contact Chapter President Robert Stubbe or Chapter Secretary Barbara Carillo or any Executive Board member (contact information is at the bottom of this message).

The ratification vote will be for 10 days on these dates:

Voting Begins Thursday, August 20

Voting Ends Saturday, August 29

A link to the SurveyMonkey ratification vote will be sent to each registered member after the Chapter meeting.  Only CSEA Chapter 262 members are allowed to vote.  The e-mail message and link will be unique to you specifically and cannot be shared and can only be used once.
