Your Chapter 262 leadership team wants to inform you of a few important issues. Think of these as a CSEA 262 Public Service Announcement.

Effective immediately, all classified professionals in Unit A are on paid status. As a condition of this, all members are also subject to the Telecommuting Agreement.

President Scroggins’ message implies an agreement has already been reached. NO AGREEMENT HAS BEEN REACHED at this time.

Negotiations via e-mail, or tele-negotiations as we are calling it, are challenging, and slower, but your Chapter leadership wanted to update you on our progress so far and where we are.

Today at around 5pm, California Governor Newsom issued an executive order (attached) that requires “all individuals living in the State of California to stay home.”

The negotiations team was able to sign an agreement with Dr. Scroggins to implement the full state-funded COLA for the 2019/2020 contract year.

These are trying times. On the one hand, we are told “You’ll be fine, you should be fine” and on the other hand we are told “The worst is yet to come.”

Puttin’ On the Hits is a collaborative artistic effort among faculty, classified professionals, administrators, students, retirees, and even Board of Trustees members to raise money for students.

Your Chapter leaders are asking you to donate to the leave bank as soon as possible because the bank has dropped below 1000 hours.

Happy holidays to all! I’d like to take a minute to reflect on another successful year of operation for our chapter leadership.

Darren Stahl, Enterprise Network Administrator in the Information Technology Department and long-time Chapter 262 member died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident Friday, 18 October 2019.

Chapter elections are coming in December, so nominations will begin with the October Chapter meeting. The October 16 Chapter meeting is going to be a very busy one, so mark your calendars and plan to attend.
